I’m a self taught hobbyist. For me it’s just about fun. Photography is a great creative outlet for me. I try to take photos that will show people something they’ve seen before in a new way.

Often I fit in an hour in our garden after work. Occasionally I can take a drive someplace local. On weekends I try to get out to one of the local nature preserves.

I started at it years ago with the purchase of my first SLR, a Nikon N50. Since then I have learned a lot and moved on to other equipment.

My interest in photography also involves restoration and archiving of old family photographs using a flat bed scanner and a negative scanner.
